“One Summer Night in Sweden
(“En natt I den svenska sommaren”)
Live event: The English Premier of Reading of Erland Josephson play
The director – Brian Stirner.

The play is dedicated  to Tarkovsky’s  last masterpiece “The Sacrifice”.
It is a philosophical reflection on the clash of two cultures – the Russian and the Western; a collision between talent and pragmatism and its striving for petty domination; on the desire to penetrate the mysterious soul of the Russian director and his inner thoughts; on the painful and complicated relationship between actors and director and the uplifting, intoxicating sensation of being understood and accepted. The play is full of humour and warmth.
